This piece was created in the Spring of 2020 and it was the first piece I had created since the world pandemic changed everything. I painted slowly and softly, the movements were soothing and I felt comforted in this new approach. When it was finally finished I felt drawn to its duality in nature, it’s the light and the dark, sun and moon, yin and yang. It feels like a cycle completed and a mindful moment of acceptance.
